This week our Lauren’s Kids team honored some incredible educators who go the distance every day in the name of protecting childhood. In honor of National Education Week, which is held every year the week before Thanksgiving, we give thanks to the educators on the front lines of molding the next generation. While the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for us all, the teachers who constantly had to deal with the changing environment and pivot to best suit the needs of each individual child entrusted in their care have gone above and beyond.
Here are some highlights of Educators who have gone above and beyond the call of duty —
Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Alberto M. Carvalho! Superintendent Carvalho is a valued partner and shares our mission to empower children so that they know how to protect themselves.
In honor of these changing times, with many kids becoming more and more comfortable with different learning platforms, Lauren’s Kids is proud to announce the digitization of the Safer, Smarter Schools K-5 curriculum. By meeting teachers and students where they are — with digital, in-person, and blended learning modalities — we will continue to prevent abuse and empower children to get help when they need it.
