42 Hours for the 42 Million

Thank you for walking with us!

There are 42 million survivors of child sexual abuse living in the United States today. Seventy-five percent of child sexual abuse victims don’t tell anyone for at least a year. Forty-five percent do not tell for at least five years. Too many wait decades, or never disclose. For 42+ continuous hours in the rotunda of the Florida Capitol, advocates, legislators, state leaders, survivors, and community members join Senator Lauren Book and the Lauren’s Kids foundation to honor of the 42 million and advocate for societal and legislative change.

Our 2020 42 Hours event took a place from February 4 – 6 at the Florida State Capitol. Thank you to all of our walkers and sponsor Premier Health & Fitness Center!

2019 Highlights

Our inaugural 42 Hours event in 2019 was a total success! Thank you to the community members, survivors, lawmakers, state leaders, and advocates who joined us to walk for 15 minutes or more to raise awareness and advocate for change. See you in 2020!
