Guidance Counselor Laura Brown passed out blank pieces of paper to 20 first-graders at Andersen Elementary in Rockledge last Thursday and told them: “Draw me a picture of a stranger.”
Out came the pencils and crayons to scribble stick bodies with crazy eyes, wild hair, angry faces and more.
Ava Keller, 7, stood at the front of the class and held up her sketch.
“My stranger has candy in its hand,” Ava said. “Peppermint. And it’s a girl. She’s pretending to be nice.”
