Did you know? April is both National Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Last April, we highlighted the importance of digital safety during our SAAM outreach campaign. This year’s theme, STAND IN YOUR POWER, honors the 42 million survivors of child sexual abuse living in the U.S. today, as well as the allies and advocates who have joined in the fight for hope, healing, and prevention.

Standing in your power may mean different things to different people… finding the courage to disclose abuse | teaching personal safety to children | finding the strength to ask for help, even during the darkest of times | believing a friend | standing up for affirmative consent | counseling survivors | healing from victim to survivor, and thriver | using your voice to create change.
Standing in your power may mean something different to each of us, but the message remains the same; we are strong, our voices matter, and together, we stand in power! Join us in this movement today!
