FREE Training: Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute Coming to Ft. Lauderdale May 7th and 8th

Safer, Smarter Kids Teacher's Institute

Lauren’s Kids is proud to announce its third Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute, which will take place at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort on May 7th and 8th. The Institute is of no cost to Florida educators in public school districts.

Through funding appropriated by the Florida Legislature, Lauren’s Kids developed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade child abuse prevention resources based on the It’s Okay To Tell curriculum. In an effort to bring this evidence-based, age-appropriate sexual abuse prevention curriculum to Florida’s 67 school districts, Lauren’s Kids will host three regional Safer, Smarter Kid’s Teachers’ Institutes in Tallahassee (completed), Orlando (completed), and Ft. Lauderdale.

Each school district will be able to send teachers, curriculum specialists, counselors, or social workers to the regional meeting closest to their district. Each Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute participant will receive the following:
