Lauren's Kids

To prevent sexual abuse through awareness, education, and to help survivors heal with guidance and support

"Now, all of Florida - for years to come - will be walking in a brighter, clearer, safer path because of what you have done, Lauren. We thank you."

- Jeff Atwater, Florida's Chief Financial Officer and former Florida Senate President

Book Signing

Throughout Walk in My Shoes 2011, Lauren Book will be signing copies of her new inspiring book, It’s OK to Tell: A Story of Hope and Recovery. The memoir provides readers with explicit details into the mind of a child sexually abused and the forces that led her to speak out against it. “The memoir has allowed me to take another step in my personal healing journey by shedding light on such a dark issue, that sadly, too many children face,” Book said. “Abusers manipulate children into silence. Power comes from finding your voice and speaking out.”
