All Stars Among Us
Among many of the accolades Lauren has received for her work, she was honored as an All Star Among Us by PEOPLE Magazine at the 2010 Major League Baseball’s All Star Game. These distinguished organizations honor community leaders across the country and this year, Lauren was honored for her commitment to raising awareness about sexual abuse. As one of only 30 community activists to be honored, Lauren represented the Florida Marlins.
FCASV Award
Lauren was honored with the 2010 FLorida Council Against Sexual Violence Advocate of the Year Award.
Generations of Leadership
Lauren Book and her father, Ron Book, were awarded the 2009 Generations of Leadership Award by the Leadership Broward Foundation.
EMMY Award, Human Interest Category
Lauren received a 2006 EMMY Award in the Human Interest Category for the production of “Lauren’s Story,” a documentary by WFOR Miami.
